SAVANNAH, GA (January 7, 2016): The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department responded to Canebrake Road and Shady Grove Lane where a 15-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle Jan. 6.
The victim was walking with his bicycle on Canebrake Road with two others at approximately 6:30 p.m. They were traveling westbound. At that time the driver of a Toyota Camry traveling in the same direction applied the brakes but was unable to stop before striking the victim.
The teen was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate the incident.
