SAVANNAH, GA (November 12, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit detectives are investigating a Wednesday night armed robbery, at a park on the 1400 block of East Victory Drive, that involves a teenage suspect.
At about 7:30 p.m. Metro responded to reports of an armed robbery after a pick-up basketball game at Daffin Park. After the game, at least one teen reportedly displayed a firearm and robbed the victims of their possessions. The suspects and the victims ran away from the scene. The victims also are teenagers. There were no reported injuries.
The suspect is described as a short, heavy-set, black male, in his early to mid-teens, with an unkempt medium-length afro. During the incident he wore a white long-sleeved shirt, with a black vest and blue and white sneakers. The suspect was last seen running toward Victory Drive. Investigators also are working to determine whether other suspects are involved.
