UPDATE: Saturday, Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Central Precinct Crime Suppression Unit arrested Charles Steplight, 24, during a warrant service near West 39th and Burroughs streets. Metro’s Robbery Unit charged Steplight with three counts of aggravated assault in an Dec. 17th armed robbery attempt on the 500 block of West 35th Street. The robbery attempt left three people with gunshot wounds. Steplight was in possession of a firearm during his arrest, resulting in an additional charge of carrying a concealed weapon.
Investigators also have identified Charles Frazier, 25, as a person of interest in this case. Frazier is described as a black with, standing 5-7 and weighing 135. He is known to frequent Frazier Homes and Madison Apartments.

SAVANNAH, GA (December 18, 2015): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating an armed robbery attempt on the 500 block of West 35th Street that left three people with gunshot wounds on Thursday night.
At about 9:50 p.m. Metro responded to McDonald’s restaurant near Victory Drive and Montgomery Street, where Zaierrea Addison,33, Takreem Collins, 37, and Willie Kemmerlin, 48, sought help after being shot at by a group of unidentified robbery suspects. Collins and Kermmerlin were grazed by bullets and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Addison suffered serious injuries. The three victims were transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment.
The victims were reportedly riding together in a car when the incident occurred. The events resulting in these injuries remain under investigation. Detectives are working to identify suspects.
