Visitation will also be held at the church from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service.
Following the service, a motorcade will lead to Bonaventure Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Road.
The procession will proceed north on Waters Avenue to Victory Drive, east on Victory Drive to Skidaway Road then turning on 36th Street to Bonaventure Cemetery.
VISITING LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES: If possible, please contact the Public Affairs Office at email@example.com with the number of officers and vehicles who will be coming from your agency. All law enforcement wishing to attend will need to be in place at the church no later than 10 a.m.
ROAD CLOSURES: There will be rolling road closures between 8:30 and 9 a.m. as Sgt. Ansari is taken from the funeral home to the church. The hearse will travel south on Barnard Street to Anderson Street, then east on Anderson Street to Waters Avenue then travel south to E. 63rd Street. Following the service, which is estimated to end around noon, roads will be blocked while the procession moves from the church to the cemetery. All intersections along the route will be closed, but will be reopened as intersections are cleared. (See above for the procession route.) These closures are estimated to last about 1 hour.
PARKING: There will be dedicated parking spots for elected officials, SPD officers, outside law enforcement and media on the church grounds. Overflow parking will be across the street at Memorial Hospital. Transportation from the overflow lot to the church will be provided.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT: Anyone who wishes to show support to SPD and the Ansari family is invited to set up along the processional route. SPD recommends those supporters be in place by 11 a.m. to avoid traffic closures along the route.
