SAVANNAH, GA (August 5, 2015): With new information, members of the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force and robbery detectives from Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department ask the public’s continued aid in the search for the armed gunman who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank branch last Friday afternoon.
Investigators believe that in addition to the ball cap and surgical mask that concealed his face, the suspect wore a long wig as part of his disguise when he walked into the bank on the 5700 block of Waters Avenue, produced a handgun and demanded money. He fled on foot at 12:45 p.m. No injuries were reported.
FBI Investigators advise that the suspect is armed and dangerous. Anyone coming in contact with him should call law enforcement immediately.
