SAVANNAH, GA (April 28, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team responded to a single-vehicle wreck on the 2000 block of Ft. Argyle Road on April 28, that resulted in serious injuries and the arrest of John Jordan, Jr., 50.
At about 12:30 a.m. Jordan was driving west on Ft. Argyle Road in a Jeep Liberty. Investigators believe Jordan failed to maintain his lane when he struck a tree. Alcohol consumption may be a factor in this incident. Jordan was transported by ambulance to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Paramedics advised police of a firearm found in Jordan’s possession while transporting him to Memorial. Further investigation revealed that Jordan, a convicted felon, had outstanding warrants from SCMPD, Chatham County Sheriff’s Office and Bryan County law enforcement. Jordan also is charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and auto theft.
