SAVANNAH, GA. (May 2, 2014): Today, Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Central Precinct detectives with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested 27-year-old Norman “Jookie” Koonce, Jr. of Savannah for a double shooting on April 26.
Investigators believe Koonce is responsible for the shootings of 16-year-old Quahfee Murphy and 23-year-old Allen Moore, last Saturday night at a residence on the 3800 block of Bull Street. Murphy succumbed to his injuries. Moore was transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment.
Koonce is charged with murder, two counts of possession of a firearm by first offender, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal attempted murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
