Savannah Chatham Metro Police arrested four notorious burglars who have been linked to several south side crimes.
Rasheem Famble, 17, Antoine Robinson, 19, and two juveniles have all been charged and arrested. Detectives also have an outstanding arrest warrant for Anthony Mathis, 20. They
believe they can contribute at least 30 burglaries to this group and have been able to close five cases so far.
Since January the Davidson Street area has been hit hard by burglars. The community got involved and started calling in tips. Police served search warrants on several houses on
Davidson Street. All the search warrants detectives served were productive.
Amongst the items recovered were two stolen firearms, several game consoles and a modified (violation of Federal Law) to look real AK-47 aero soft rifle. In addition to this, numerous stolen items, the victims believed to be lost forever. Detectives believe the suspects were selling the items using a social networking site as well as word of mouth, and selling the items out of their houses located on Davidson Street.
Detectives are still investigating and believe more people may be involved.
FAMBLE was charged with Burglary, ROBINSON was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and the juveniles were arrested for burglary and theft by receiving stolen property.
