SAVANNAH, GA. (March 7, 2016): Areas of Downtown Savannah are experiencing traffic delays due to a two-vehicle accident that resulted in a power outage at the intersection of Price and Perry streets at about 2:19 p.m. Monday.
Metro responded to the scene after reports that a car pulled out of an alley, colliding with a Chatham Area Transit bus. The bus struck a power pole, which resulted in power outages and road closures. Several passengers were transported to an area hospital for medical evaluation.
Power outages are confirmed on Price Street from Oglethorpe to Liberty Street and the intersection of Liberty and Habersham Street. Price Street is blocked at Perry Lane, impacting traffic flow between Broughton and Oglethorpe streets.
Temporary signage has been placed on impacted streets. Delays are expected as late as 8 p.m.
