SAV ANNAH, GA (March 19, 2015) – Central Precinct’S Crime Prevention Officers APO Barry Lewis and APO Dana Knight attended the Signature Health Wellness Fair on 63rd Street last week. The event was for the employees of Signature HealthCare of Savannah. This gave the employees an opportunity to speak with different health entities from the community including those in eye care, chiropractic solutions and ear & foot healthcare.
SCMPD Central Precinct Crime Prevention officers were on hand to give out information on personal safety and tips to avoid being robbed as well as what to do if it occurred. There were also tips on keeping your home safe from burglary and your vehicle from being stolen.
SCMPD Traffic Unit APO Ron Smith brought out traffic-related educational pamphlets and conducted a hands-on demonstration with “DUI Goggles.” These goggles are used to show participants the effects of drinking and how it may impair a person attempting to get behind the wheel of a vehicle.
