UPDATE: Christopher Jay Plemmons, 40, was arrested June 21 by SCMPD for a probation violation warrant out of Cobb County. Southside Precinct detectives are in the process of obtaining arrest warrants for the June 15 stolen automobile. He remains at the Chatham County Detention Center.

Car Thief Caught on Video, Metro Investigates
SAVANNAH, GA (June 20, 2016) – Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Southside Precinct detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who stole a car from a dealership at approximately 4:30 p.m., June 15, in the 6700 block of Waters Avenue.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches to 6-feet tall, with a thin build.
The suspect entered the car dealership and asked for the keys to a gray 2006 BMW 352i while the owner was on the phone. The suspect then walked out of the dealership, got into the car and fled the scene heading southbound on Waters.
