SAVANNAH, GA (August 5, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to a collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle at approximately 9 p.m., August 4, near the intersection of Rockdale and Lloyd Streets.
Reportedly, Ward Brown, 55, failed to stop at a stop sign as he traveled east on Lloyd Street on his bicycle. A 2009 Scion driven by Margaret Drayton, 22, collided with Brown. Investigators believe Brown’s bike had no reflective lighting.
Brown was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
