SAVANNAH, GA ( June 23, 2011) The FBI has assumed the investigation of a bank robbery suspect assumed to have robbed a second bank.
Just after 10:30 a.m., police were dispatched to a bank robbery that had just happened at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 3500 Ogeechee Road. Police were told that the suspect presented a note
demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot toward ACL Blvd. SCMPD K-9 responded and tracked the suspect for a while but eventually lost the track.
The FBI responded and assumed the investigation. Agents believe the same man robbed the Wells Fargo on Stephenson Avenue on April 25. The suspect is a black male, early 20’s, 5’4” to 5’5”, 130-140lbs, tear drop tattoo under his right eye, red t-shirt, blue jeans, black baseball hat and aviator style sunglasses.
