SAVANNAH, GA (January 21, 2015): Islands Precinct detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the theft of an automatic teller machine from a bar on the 2400 block of Skidaway Road on Jan. 5.
At about 5:21 a.m. Metro responded to a security alarm activation at the scene. Officers observed that the ATM was missing.
Investigators believe that just after 5 a.m. two unidentified males arriving in a white Chevrolet cargo van forced their way into the bar, lifting the ATM, then loading it into the van. Both men returned to the building, prying open several game machines and stealing money contained inside.
The suspects drove away from the scene in the van. They are believed to have traveled west on 41st Street.
