SAVANNAH, GA (May 1, 2014): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Animal Control Division will waive pet adoption fees in exchange for donated food and toys during its spring adoption drive, set to run until Monday.
Pets adopted during this event also will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped with lifetime registration at no cost to the owner. New pet owners also will receive 30 days of pet insurance.
Animal Control requests donations of Kong toys, cat toys and Pedigree food.
Adoptions occur from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. daily at the animal shelter at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive, behind the Humane Society. Adoptable pets can be viewed at adopt-a-pet.com.
