SAVANNAH, GA (February 18, 2016): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that injured two teens, Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4300 block of Worth Street, where a 15-year-old male was located suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Reportedly, the victim was shot at 48th and Bulloch streets, then transported by an unknown vehicle to the Worth Street location. Moments later, officers responded to the 700 block of Atlanta Street, where a 16-year-old male was found with serious injuries from gunshot wounds as well. ShotSpotter alerts were also received in the area at the time of the event. Both victims were transported to Memorial University Medical Center.
Investigators believe the shootings are linked and are working to determine the events leading up to these incidents and the identities of any suspects.
