SAVANNAH, GA (January 17, 2012): .Two men and a woman were arrested over the weekend by Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police on domestic violence charges, two of the incidents in front of children and one involving an infant.
Jerome L. Coffee, 34, of an East Waldburg Street address, was charged with simple battery, first degree cruelty to children and third degree cruelty to children after he struck a 39-year-old woman and a 3-month-old child she was holding at the time. The woman’s 2-year-old child was present at the time of the Jan. 9 incident.
Yolanda Williams, 33, of a West 38th Street address, was charged with battery and third degree cruelty to children after she struck her husband, 35, on the side of his face with a towel rack in front of their 10-year-old child on Jan. 9.
Maurice Jawan Brown, 33, of an Ogeechee Road address, was charged with aggravated assault after he struck a 24-year-old woman in the face several times, fracturing her nose on Jan. 10.
