SAVANNAH, GA (October 9, 2015): Today, Violent Crimes detectives of Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department obtained four warrants and made three arrests in a triple shooting in September, on the 1400 block of Barnes Drive. The shooting injured Asim Simmons, 19, and claimed the lives of Jayquan Turner, 24 and Javon Wilson,19.
Emile Randolph, 32, who on Sept. 18 was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in this case, is now charged with murder. His warrants were served at the Chatham County Detention Center. Tom Frazier, 18, was arrested at an apartment on the 11000 block of White Bluff Road and charged with armed robbery. Asim Simmons was arrested on the 100 block of Queen’s Retreat and charged with murder and armed robbery. Investigators also have obtained arrest warrants for Quamelius Lee, 20, who is wanted for murder and armed robbery.
Investigators ask the public’s help in locating Lee. He is a black male, standing 5-11 and weighing 140. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
On Sept. 12, shots were fired as the victims and suspects in this case met outside of an apartment building to settle a dispute about a robbery that occurred the day before.
The Southeast Region Fugitive Task Force (SERTF), the Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team (UNIT), Metro’s K9 and Southside Precinct Crime Suppression units aided in the arrests.
